Harvey was born on March 19th 1923 in his parents' home in Baysville, with the aid of midwife, Mrs. Sam Vanclieaf. Harvey's parents, Fred and Viola, nee Brownlee, lived in the house now currently occupied by Royal LePage as a real estate office, at the corner of Hwy 117 and Bridge Street.
